Entries open for 2012 Spec-Savers Ironman 70.3 South Africa

Entries to the eagerly anticipated 2012 Spec-Savers Ironman 70.3 South Africa are now open. Get online at www.ironman703.co.za  to get your entry in early.

Normal entry fee is R1500 and will run until 4 November 2011. Late entry fee is R1900 and will run from 5 – 25 November 2011. Team entry is set at R3000 (normal) with late entry at R3600.

East London has successfully hosted this popular event since 2008 with the number of athletes increasing each year. The 2011 event saw 2674 registrations with entries selling out weeks before the event.

With the growing interest, entries to the 2012 edition have been extended to 3000 so that even more athletes will be able to be part of this special event. The 2011 edition boasted the likes of James Cunnama, Frederik van Lierde and reigning women’s Ironman 70.3 world champion, Jodie Swallow.

The Ironman 70.3 series is one of the most popular in the world with 36 races in the series worldwide. It serves not only as a starting point for athletes wishing to take on the full Ironman but also as niche race in itself with a devout following of both PRO and amateur athletes.

Now in its 5th year, the 2012 Spec-Savers Ironman 70.3 South Africa promises yet again to deliver an unparalleled, world class race experience for athletes and spectators to enjoy. It all begins in East London this January – make sure you’re part of it, enter now!
