Triseries Challenge continues to inspire

Competitive spirit increases amongst Triseries Challenge athletes

The 2011 Triseries Challenge continues to inspire competitive spirit amongst athletes of all ages in the BSG Energade Triseries as they come together to represent their tertiary institutions, schools and corporate organisations, in a bid to secure the top spot on the series leaderboards.

The friendly rivalry between St Mary’s DSG and St Dunstan’s College has intensified after the fourth round of the 2011 BSG Energade Triseries, as St Dunstan continue to gain on St Mary DSG’s early lead. With a mere 73 points separating the two schools and only three events to go, both schools will be pulling out all the stops to ensure that they win the overall School Challenge title.

In the Tertiary category, athletes from the University of Pretoria racked up valuable points at the Midmar event significantly increasing their lead over their nearest rivals University of Witwatersrand. With their sights set on a top three finish, Varsity College are making waves on the leaderboard and they are now just 17 points behind University of Johannesburg who are currently in third place.

Deloitte are still topping the leaderboard in the Corporate category as they continue to build on their substantial lead, looking set to claim the overall title as they steadily increase their points with each event. The battle for second place continues between financial giants Standard Bank and Investec, with ABSA currently in fourth position still challenging from the rear.
