Gourits River to Mossel Bay

 

 

The two-day Oystercatcher Trail Run coincides with the Mossel Bay Sports Festival.

Taking runners from Gourits River mouth to Mosselbay, via beautiful fynbos, runners will head along the coastline, before heading into the famous Southern Cape Dunes and the escarpment.

Runners will finish the last day with part of the race on the St Blaize trail. This trail is a popular hiking route that follows the 30m-high contour along the cliffs eastwards towards the Cape St. Blaize Lighthouse. The trail offers dramatic sea views, excellent whale and dolphin sighting opportunities as well as plentiful birdlife and interesting fynbos as highlights.

Day1: 21km, Day2: 20km

The event is limited to 300 runners.

Start 9am, R450 per person

One day option: St Blaize Run Sun 30 September – 20km, R200.

Registration and late entries at 5pm to 9pm on Friday 28th September at the Sand Piper Cottages in Boggoms Baai.

No day entries.
