WHAT is this?

A trail run packed with adventure of 100km over 3 days promising to offer you hundreds of circles to be run in and around the Knysna Forest. The symbol of the event represents the old elephant that was to be seen years ago… she walked through the forest from Goudveld to Diepwalle, dawn to dusk, solo!

The route is SINGLE track and TRAILRUNNING… not a 4x4 route for roadrunning!

  1. Day 1. 25km of the Outeniquamountains and you. Athletes will start behind Cradock peak at Harold after the drop-off by bus and run downhill towards George and Saasveld. The elevation is a 1000m for the day and it will take the average athlete 4 hours.
  2. Day 2. 40km of forest and river crossings between the Homtini and the Knysna River. We start at Beervlei Hut and run to Millwood Hut, a distance of 40km.This imply 5 hours on foot and 1500m of up and down.
  3. Day 3. The highroad from Millwood via Jonkersberg to Diepwalle cover 30km’s in distance and the elevation of 2000m must be dealt with. The average athletes will once again race for about 5 hours.

The categories are open for males, females and veterans (over 40) and we offer prize money of R30 000.00.
