PE next on list for nation's premier duathlon series
Pollock Beach in PE hosts the fourth event in the Momentum Health I-Flex National Duathlon Series this weekend.
The Momentum Health I-Flex National Duathlon Series has reached the halfway mark of the six event Series and the fourth event will be held in Port Elizabeth on Sunday 1 August.
So far there have been several new names and first time winners, which leaves the overall victory in the men's and women's divisions completely open. Where previously Brand du Plessis and Andrea Steyn dominated the 2008 and 2009 races, to date they have only managed one victory each so far.
Momentum Health and I-Flex have put up in excess of R295 000 in prize money, which elevates this series into one of the richest in South Africa. Adding to the elite event, the kiddies event and team events means everyone can participate and compete. Following on from a very successful 2009 Duathlon Series, Momentum Health and I-Flex return with a six-event National Duathlon Series in 2010.
Awesome spot prizes have been donated by New Balance, Go Multi magazine and Rudy Project eyewear... so everyone can be a winner on the day.
The value of the duathlete goodie bag package is in excess of R300 and includes a New Balance moisture management T-shirt, Vit-T-Go energy supplements and a Go Multi magazine.
All events are televised in a dedicated 26 minute programme on SuperSport.
