A Monster in the North West
Excitement builds as mountain bike enthusiasts prepare to take on the 9th annual ProNutro Magalies Monster Mountain Bike Classic. Taking place on Saturday, 28 May 2011 in Buffelspoort, participants can look forward to a mountain biking extravaganza like no other.
According to Harry Schubert, Course Designer, the three awesome routes (20km fun ride, 45km and 75km) feature all the ingredients an excellent MTB race requires, namely a great setting, spectacular scenery, technically challenging sections, unique trails and fantastic atmosphere. “If you can ride a bike, you can enter as there are three routes to choose from. The two longer routes do, however, require a certain level of fitness and technical riding skills. The 2010 event marked a big mile stone for the event with Stillwater Sport & Entertainment coming onboard and bringing with them ProNutro as a title sponsor. This has enabled the ‘Monster’ to be set on a more professional footing, adding a new dimension to the race. We’d love for each participant to take home with them an unforgettable lifetime experience and the start of a special relationship with the Monster,” says Schubert.
