Pearl Izumi is a highly regarded brand overseas, especially in the States, and it’s now available in SA. The brand’s primary focus is on cycling but they also make quality triathlon and duathlon apparel. The women’s SELECT Tri Suit features Select Transfer fabric enhancing fit and the durability for all levels of triathlete. It not only has compression characteristics but excellent moisture transfer thanks to hydrophobic fibres that actively pull moisture away from the skin. The 100% polyester suit allows quick fitting and removal and maximum support with its stand-alone bra. Direct-Vent panels and a 25cm zipper provide superior ventilation. The Select also features an easy access rear envelope pocket and quick-dry fleece chamois. The reflective elements provide low-light visibility and the suit is rated at UPF50+. A men’s version is available.
