Profile Design Altair 80

When you think of Profile Design, you think of aero bars and drinking systems but now they are making a push into the aero wheel market. The company even went as far as studying the wind speed and direction at Ironman courses around the world while designing the range. The Altair 80 is their race wheelset made from proprietary carbon fibre with an 80.5mm section tubular rim. It comes in three versions: carbon tubular, clincher and semi carbon clincher. Includes brake pads, QR, valve extenders, spoke tool, extra spokes and nipples. All the wheels are hand assembled, which Profile Design claims increases quality and tightens tolerances.
