To mark its co-operation with the ITU (International Triathlon Union), Suunto has introduced its Winning Triathlon Moves special collection including the t6d Black Flame heart rate monitor. The device includes the tried and tested features of its forerunners but now comes with the improved Dual Comfort Belt which monitors heart rate and calories burned and is compatible with most gym cardio equipment.

The t6d measures the time interval between heartbeats to calculate seven different body parameters. By utilising the upcoming www.movescount.com application, the user can interpret this data to achieve a deeper analysis of their training sessions.
It also shows a host of body measurement results directly on the display, including Training Effect (the aerobic benefit of a training session on a one-to-five scale), EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption) and calories burned.
The user can also freely customise the display and choose which data they need most for their current training programme. The optional sport-specific Suunto PODs (Periheral Observation Devices) can measure speed, distance and cadence enabling the selected data to be shown on the display of the wrist device. An altimeter is included to monitor hill and altitude performance.
