The folks at TYR claim the Hurricane Category 5 is the best triathlon wetsuit on sale today. A claim that has some credibility considering three-time Ironman world champion Chrissie Wellington wore it on her way to smashing the Ironman women’s record at Ironman Arizona last year. The exterior of the suit is made from super-stretchy Yamamoto Nano SCS rubber and combined with a soft jersey inner fabric creates a top-class fit and feel. Five core stabilisation panels target the muscle groups to elevate the swimmer ensuring optimal body position and preserve core strength. Quick-release ankle cuffs allow for easy removal during T1. The Hurricane series also includes the more affordable Category 1 and 3. They both come with the key features of the C5; the C3 being constructed of the same exterior material for example.
