Ftech bibshort

With its entire operation based in Bassano, Italy, the cradle of the world’s best cycling craftsmen, it would appear that Ftech is ideally positioned to take advantage of all that’s around them. Their new product range is being launched through ASG International and is now available to order.  A serious endorsement is the fact the highly successful local pro cycling outfit Team Bonitas (formerly Team Medscheme) uses Ftech apparel. Designed to eliminate pressure areas that restrict blood flow, these bibshorts also have a lightweight elastic with internal silicone gripper to hold the shorts in place. The mesh upper has been designed for maximum ventilation while a reflective strip aids night visibility. Also available with Ftech’s lightweight Carbon Air chamois.

GARMIN forerunner 110

garmin_forerunner_110_smallIt’s said to have a similar battery life to the Forerunner 405 unit (its battery lasted eight hours between charges). The 405 initially wowed us with its touch bezel but ultimately disappointed with its relatively short rechargeable battery life and haphazard bezel performance in the wet. The new Forerunner 310XT solves the battery life issue (20 hours), so why even consider the FR110 with just eight hours of run-time?
