Recovery shoe cracks nod from influential association
Salomon, the innovative mountain sports brand, announces today that its RX Break shoe has been awarded the Seal of Acceptance by the American Podiatric Medical Association. The RX Break is a recovery shoe for before or after sport that helps tired feet recover.
APMA is the nation’s leading professional society for foot and ankle specialists. The Seal of Acceptance Programme was created to inform podiatric physicians and consumers about products whose quality, safety, and effectiveness promote good foot health. A major goal of APMA is to raise awareness by identifying products of exceptional quality that are manufactured with the Consumer’s comfort and safety in mind.
In order to qualify for the Seal of Acceptance, RX Break had to pass a thorough scientific evaluation by a panel of APMA members and rigorous testing at a recognized independent laboratory. The results were then evaluated by a committee of Doctors of Podiatric Medicine who decided to grant Salomon the use of the Seal for the RX Break.

RX Break looks like a casual flip flop. But behind that look is a serious recovery shoe based on two Salomon patents. First, the Relax platform, with OS (oversized) muscle and OS Tendon absorbs copious amounts of shock, and returns energy with every stride. The second design patent is 360o Sensifit; a soft, breathable EVA strap that wraps all the way around the foot, cradling it into a comfortable EVA foot bed.
