Nedbank ladies team breaks Comrades record

The ladies team of the Nedbank Running Club Gauteng North, spearheaded by Adinda Kruger (9^th overall) won the Comrades Marathon team prize and literally ran away with the coveted Comrades Marathon Association Shield.

They beat their nearest competitors, Nedbank Running Club KZN, by 4 hours 13 min 39 seconds. In third place was Collegian Harriers, 5 hours 13 min 35 seconds behind.

The combined time of 28:09.23 for the four athletes (Adinda Kruger, Lesley Train, Julanie Basson and Kashmira Parbhoo) is 68 seconds faster than the record set in 2001 by a Mr Price team.
