Natalie the Queen of distance and now speed

Day two of swimming at the Commonwealth Games sees another impressive performance, this time from Natalie du Toit. She raced away from the rest to bag a gold medal and a new Commonwealth record.

Spirits remain high in the swimming camp at the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi. Natalie had a poor start in the Women's 50m freestyle S9 category, but followed it up with blistering pace to win by half a body length setting a new Commonwealth record by breaking her previous Commonwealth record time set. All that is left is for her to beat her old world record that is looming in the not so distant future.

Birthday boy Jean Basson made it into the hotly contested Men's 200m freestyle final. The eight that made it to the final were seperated by less than a second going in to the race. Jean ended up just missing out on a podium position but happy with his performance.

The two golden boys, Roland Schoeman and Cameron van den Burgh have qualified for the finals in the 50m butterfly (Roland) and 100m breastroke (Cameron) respectivly. These races will be contested on the evening of day three, 6 october 2010

The Hockey girls beat Scotland 2 - 1 for there match in the evening of day two and are eager to take on the next teams in there pool.

Keep up the cheering South Africa, we have a few more days to go.
