She raced away from the rest to bag a gold medal and a new Commonwealth record. Spirits remain high in the swimming camp at the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi. Natalie had a poor start in the Women's 50m freestyle S9 category, but followed it up with blistering pace to win by half a body length setting a new Commonwealth record by breaking her previous Commonwealth record time set. All that is left is for her to beat her old world record that is looming in the not so distant future. Birthday boy Jean Basson made it into the hotly contested Men's 200m freestyle final. The eight that made it to the final were seperated by less than a second going in to the race. Jean ended up just missing out on a podium position but happy with his performance.
