SA Swimmers continue to impress in Delhi

Three more medals are added to the South African medal tally in the Aquatics discipline on day 3 in Delhi. One more gold topped with a new Commonwealth record, and two bronze.

Cameron van den Burgh blitzed to victory in the 100m breastroke clinching the title as well as a new Commonwealth record in a time of 1:00.10. He was enclosed by Aussies, but clearly didn't let that phase him.

In the 50m butterfly, Roland Schoeman was pipped to the line by Aussie, Geoff Huegill and Kenyan, Jason Dunford for third place, in a time of 23.44.

The final event for the evening was the Men's 4x200m relay. In the first change over South Africa lead the race out only to be caught by the Australians and challenged by the Scottish and the Canadians. Chasing home hard in the last 50m, South Africa emerged to take third place with a time of 7:14.18. The Australians took the honours and Scotland was in second.

More excitement on Day five, 07 October, as Greame Moore and Gideon Louw make it through to the Men's 100m freestyle final. Natalie du Toit competes in the 100m freestyle event and Wendy Trott takes on the 800m final.

What an action packed schedule for team SA, we wish them all the best.
