New series debuts in hot and humid conditions
A new series made an indelible mark on the South African triathlon scene as the first 5150 Triathlon Bela Bela took place on Saturday 13 August 2011 at Forever Resorts Warmbaths in Bela Bela. The action got underway at 12:00 from Forever Resorts Warmbaths with the pros hitting the water as the first wave started. The swim was dominated by Jeff Norton (RSA) who exited the water first in a time of 00:16:30 followed closely by Wian Sullwald (RSA) and Erhard Wolfaardt (RSA).
