Port Elizabeth pool clean and ready for Ironkids

In light of the recent change of management of McArthur’s Pool and Leisure Centre, the Ironman South Africa organisers would like to allay any fears with regards to Saturday’s Pritt Ironkids race going ahead as well as the safety of the participants.

The Nelson Mandela Bay municipality is in control of the pool making sure that the pool is clean and the water quality is up to standard.
“The Pritt Ironkids will commence as scheduled and concerned parents need not worry as there will be no risk to participants as the water will be monitored regularly, ensuring that everything runs smoothly on the day,” says Alan Timms, Ironkids Race Director.

The pool is clean and there are personnel on duty to monitor the situation.  The organisers are taking all measures necessary to ensure a fun and safe race. All indicators point to a fantastic race to be enjoyed by all participants at the fifth Pritt Ironkids.
