Triseries Challenge leaderboard is heating upTuesday, 11 October 2011 14:28 Triseries Challenge rankings after BSG Energade Triseries round twoThings are certainly heating up in the 2011 Triseries Challenge with schools, tertiary institutions and corporates battling it out for the top position on the leaderboards. In the BSG Energade Triseries Challenge in association with Discovery Vitality, points are accumulated based on the aggregation of finishing positions for all entrants in their respective categories, across the Corporate, Tertiary and School Triseries Challenge categories. Last Sunday’s race at the Islands Estate, Hartbeespoort proved to be a challenging event for the current leaders in the schools category, St Mary’s DSG, as the 2010 champions St Dunstan’s College have fought back, almost doubling the points earned by St Mary’s DSG on the day! The question is, will they be able to hang on to their narrow lead at next weekend’s event at Potchefstroom or will St Dunstan’s College regain their title as the Top School? The University of Pretoria continue their strong lead in the Tertiary category and are currently almost 1000 points ahead of their closest rival, the University of Witwatersrand. With the upcoming events of the BSG Energade Triseries moving towards the coastal regions it remains to be seen whether the University of Pretoria will maintain their lead or if the coastal universities will rally to knock them off the top spot! CP Botha Architects and Absa make their first appearance in the Top 5 of the leaderboard in the Corporate category, with current leaders Deloitte managing to maintain their massive lead on their nearest rivals which means that they are well on their way to being crowned the 2011 champions. Is your company competitive enough to challenge Deloitte for the overall title of Top Corporate in the 2011 Triseries Challenge? We urge you to take on your rival institutions in a fun and challenging way by participating in the 2011 Triseries Challenge and build team spirit within your school, tertiary or corporate institution. It’s easy to participate – simply include the details for your institution when you enter and you will automatically earn points for your school/tertiary/corporate based on your finishing position within your own race category. We will be awarding fantastic First Ascent apparel to all athletes who surpass set target levels for pledges. Triseries athletes can participate in MyPledge by activating the functionality on the BSG Multisport website (www.bsgmultisport.co.za) which will send requests to the participant’s networks of friends, colleagues and family to sponsor their participation in one or more of the events. This sponsorship is in the form of a pledge on behalf of the respective athlete, with all moneys collected, going directly to LEAP schools. Together we can make a significant contribution towards building a brighter future for all South Africans by providing educational opportunities for our youth. Don’t forget to register online at www.bgsmultisport.co.za to participate in the next event of the 2011 BSG Energade Triseries which will be held at Potchefstroom on Sunday, 16 October and encourage other members of your school, tertiary or corporate to do the same and earn points for your institution towards the 2011 Triseries Challenge in association with Discovery Vitality.
