Women-only triathlon and duathlon programme at SSISA

Always wanted to complete a triathlon or duathlon, but it seemed too daunting? Give yourself a new challenge for 2012 and let the Sports Science Institute of SA (SSISA’s) TRI-Fit programme help you realise your dreams. And don't forget that Go Multi is with you to keep you motivated!

SSISA’s 8 – week TRI-Fit programme, run in conjunction with SHAPE magazine, is for women who would like to complete their first triathlon or duathlon, with the target event being the Ladies Wellness Triathlon and Duathlon (1 April 2012 at the Sante Hotel, Resort and Spa in Paarl). The triathlon event is a 600m swim, 15km mountain bike ride and 4km run, whereas the duathlon event is a 4km run, 7.5km mountain bike ride and a 2km run (www.x-events.co.za/ladiestriathlon).  Choose your preferred race, sign up and we will prepare you to achieve a commendable goal!


Whilst the programme will have a fun and spirited focus, with great camaraderie, SSISA’s expert staff will provide a professional and safe environment in which you train. Participants will receive highly informative weekly newsletters; 10 guest passes for our Wellness and Fitness Centre; an array of trendy New Balance products including a tog bag; a 10% discount at Cycle Lab; discount massages at the SSISA’s Massage Centre; the Beginner’s Guide to Triathlon bookazine; a 10% discount coupon for any item on the Go Multi online shop; discounts on accommodation and treatments at Sante Hotel, as well as a 35% discount off a year’s subscription to SHAPE magazine.

There are three sessions a week at the SSISA or an arranged venue run by our experts, in addition to members doing some sessions on their own following their individualised scientifically-designed programme.
