Paddle Tip

Always give a stable boat the benefit over a supposedly faster boat. The slower boat will actually be faster for several seasons until you have your technique nailed.

Before hitting the water in a borrowed boat, always get into the cockpit and sit as you would while steering the boat.

Ensure your seat is the correct distance from your pedals. Adjust with the wingnut in the centre of the seat if necessary.
