Reebok SelectRideThursday, 11 March 2010 11:20 Reebok SelectRideShoes are like so many other mod-cons - they may have several related uses - but a running shoe is still a running shoe and going ice skating in cycling shoes is not recommended. But for those of us who want a shoe that blurs the edges between gym workouts and running workouts, Reebok has developed a system it calls SelectRide.
A dial located on the midsole activates a manual pump system driven by your own footsteps. This draws air in to increase the heel cushioning, raising it 3mm-4mm and making it around 21% softer, say Reebok. This is your shoe in running mode. Activate the switch on the midfoot again, and the shoe deflates and becomes firmer with more stability for gym and cross-training. www.reebok.co.za
