Go Multi magazine is looking for an intern journalist in the Durban area. We are close to UKZN's Howard Campus.

S/he must have interest and an ongoing involvement in 1-3 of the sports we cover.
Someone who likes spending time online doing research as well as speaking on the telephone and interviewing people face to face.
Good English language skills, both writing and editing.
Ability to engage the reader with creative copy.
Good communication skills (telephone, email etc).
Own transport.
Positive attitude.
Long-term commitment.
Having your own articles already published in print or web will be an advantage.

Ideally a journalism or media communications student in their second or third year.

Typical day:
Meet with Editor to discuss important tasks for that day.
Check on our websites during the day.
Sub and upload any important stories.
Research for current and future issues.

Essential requirements:

• Curiosity and interest in the world at large
• More specifically, you need to display an interest in all things multisport.
• Being well-connected in the sports we cover will be to your advantage.
• Above average skill with the English language is a given.
